Have You Ever...

  1. Have you ever forgotten someone's name during an introduction despite the fact that you've known them for years?
  2. Have you ever forgotten what you were talking about in the middle of your own sentence?
  3. Have you ever stared at a piece of writing for an extended amount of time before you realized you weren't even reading it?
  4. Have you ever run around the house looking for something only to realize it was in your hand?
  5. Have you ever woken up and held a phone conversation and then not know if it really took place as soon as you hung up?
  6. Have you ever gone to sleep and then woken up to honestly not know if it was 7 in the morning or 7 at night and had to ask someone?
  7. Have you ever drawn a blank when someone asks for your street address, phone number, age, or date of birth?
  8. Have you ever gotten into your car to drive to the store only to realize that you just got into the back seat and your headrest is not your steering wheel?
If you have, then you are my new best friend and I don't feel so alone anymore.

  1. I can say yes to all of those except the last. My motto in life is "the more people I meet, the more 'normal' I am!" They call me 360 at work cuz at least once a day I head off to do something, turn around half way across the gym like I forgot something, only to immediately turn back around after I decide I didn't really need what I forgot. It is a miracle I haven't fallen over yet! LOL

  2. Ha ha ha! Well all those things happen to me at one time or another. And it get worst when you grow older...

  3. Most of those on a regular basis. I haven't been able to tell you my age since 16 without a long pause to figure it out. The steering wheel one not though, but that's because my car only has three doors so getting in the back of it is a pain. When tired I do more than forget what I was talking about in a sentence, I forget what language and then wonder why people are looking odd at me (which is just stupid as English is my first language).

  4. SURVEY!

    1) Have you ever forgotten someone's name during an introduction despite the fact that you've known them for years? Yes, this is why I make up nicknames for everyone. They are easier for my backwards thinking mind to remember.
    2) Have you ever forgotten what you were talking about in the middle of your own sentence? All the time, most of my friends and family have gotten used to it. I legit thought I was broken for a while and went to my MD to asked about it. She just said (after tests of course) I think faster than I can talk and there is nothing wrong with that. Strangely enough it doesn't happen when I am giving client presentations for some reason.
    3) Have you ever stared at a piece of writing for an extended amount of time before you realized you weren't even reading it? Ha ha ha see above, it was the part of my crazy hypocondriac-ish thoughts that was diagnosed as part of my ADHD :)
    4) Have you ever run around the house looking for something only to realize it was in your hand? This I haven't done, I have a freakish memory and can sometimes locate things fro friends without even getting up to look. My roommate used to love it. I could tell her where her keys were without even leaving the shower or my bed.
    5) Have you ever woken up and held a phone conversation and then not know if it really took place as soon as you hung up? I have had conversations when slightly still asleep and not realized said conversations have even happened.
    6) Have you ever gone to sleep and then woken up to honestly not know if it was 7 in the morning or 7 at night and had to ask someone? one word... COLLEGE
    7) Have you ever drawn a blank when someone asks for your street address, phone number, age, or date of birth? I have gone around telling people I am one age really thinking I was and not realizing I am definitely not.
    8) Have you ever gotten into your car to drive to the store only to realize that you just got into the back seat and your headrest is not your steering wheel? This I cant say I have done. I will not put it past me in the future but for now I have no worry of it since I drive a 2 door coupe.
